At Stevenage Hockey Club we have many opportunities for people to get involved and play as much or as little hockey as they like! With leagues and competitions spread throughout the year, take a look below to see what events we take part in.

Winter Season
The winter hockey season runs from September to March with matches played on Saturdays, where we have 6 Ladies teams and 4 Men’s teams in the East Hockey League.

We also enter national competitions for Mens, Ladies, Mixed and Veterans Hockey which are played on Sundays.

We are also proud to host a Ladies Annual Grass Tournament which usually takes place on a Sunday in either March or September, where locals teams come and take part in an all-day tournament.

Training
The Ladies section training takes place each Wednesday from 7-9:30pm (The 3s, 4s, 5s and 6s train from 7-8.15, and the 1s and 2s train from 8.15-9.30)

Mens training runs each Tuesday from 8-9:30pm.

On Sundays we run a juniors training session from 10:00-11:00am, welcoming players from age 5 to 14.

Summer Season
Throughout the summer, members of our club take part in local leagues to keep them going until the competitive season starts again! Teams are entered into the Letchworth Mixed Summer League, a team competes in the Hitchin Mixed Summer League, and a Ladies team takes part in the Broxbourne Ladies Summer League.

If you’re new to the sport, or are getting back into it, SHC runs Sunday Summer Mixed games every other week at our pitch at Nobel School through the summer months which is suitable for all levels, from age 13+.

We also organise regular ladies mixed ability games with local clubs, incorporating ThisGirlCan and Back2Hockey campaigns.
