Stevenage Ladies 1s first game in their new league after promotion last season. We played Bedford 2s at home and started strong with a good attack on Bedford, but they soon turned up the tempo and we fought hard to keep it 0-0 at half time.

2nd half started and Bedford scored 2 quick skilful goals. We carried on fighting and played some really good hockey having won a few short corners and some good play leading to opportunities at goal by Liz Phoenix.

Final score 2-0 Bedford.
