Stevenage M1’s v Bishops Stortford M3’s.

Stevenage 1st XI welcomed Bishops Stortford 3rd XI to Nobel.
Unlike the previous week, SHC were much closer to a full accompaniment of players! Bishops Stortford came to Stevenage on the back of several good results, beating their own 2's side who did a number on the SHC 1st XI earlier in the season, so there was a bit of apprehension in the air.
That was quickly shook off and Stevenage marched into a 1 goal lead through Mike Oliver. Some quick thinking saw Niall Trimble find his grove with a 2nd. This was quickly followed up by a Dan Farnan goal. Not to stop there, SHC continued to pile on the pressure pressing from the front Niall Trimble grabbed his second of the match as did Mike Oliver. 5-0 at the half.
SHC can get a bit complacent which proved with some sloppy play in the beginning of the 2nd, which led to a BS flick…comfortably saved to keep BS at 0. Complacency then got put to one side, and some sensational hockey saw Mike Oliver Grab his second, Aiden Parker obviously had to get on the score sheet, continuing his push up the East Hockey League scoring ranks. but this was followed up by two great hatricks, one for Niall Trimble and the other for Dan Farnan!..
The game finished 9-0. Another clean sheet, twice in one season….wild.
