Stevenage M2's made the journey over to 4th placed Bedford hoping to grab points and move off the bottom of the table.
There was instant pressure from Bedford and 3 short corners later, Bedford went 1-0 up. Stevenage battled hard and grabbed a goal with some clever work from Richard Brendish, setting up Tom Woolley for the equaliser. Good teamwork and excellent defensive work from the back trio of Tom Davies, Bradley Swain and Paul Mickleburgh and super keeper Nick Russell, kept Stevenage in the game and were unlucky to find themselves 2-1 at half time.
2nd half was well battled and (mostly) positive, but tired legs and a bare 11 on the day resulted in Stevenage conceding a soft goal with a few minutes left.
In a tough league, every game is going to be a battle but the points will turn up with efforts like today!
Thoughts and prayers for points next week!
