4's Face Blueharts in Last Game of the Season

4's Face Blueharts in Last Game of the Season

Jonathan Parker29 Mar - 14:28

4's Good Hockey Play

M4's faced 2nd Placed Blueharts 8's in an early morning end of season game knowing the challenge wasn't going to be easy. With Paul Hemmant in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Ian Noble, Pete Hindle and Kal Singh, M4's settled well containing the Blueharts counter attacks well with good play from the CM's of Chris Niewdach and Josh Lake combining well with Tony Farnan playing in a deep lying attacking position. Tony Farnan on many occasions linked up play well with Simon Russell playing as Striker. Jonathan Parker and Lee Pickersgill played well in LM and RM, respectively. Unfortunately, 3 early goals were conceded and another goal followed just before half time. M4's, however, never gave up and continued playing some good hockey. M4's passed and pressed Blueharts well, creating chances on the Blueharts goal. Joe Gore played well in LM, Alex Lake played well in Defence and Harp Mann had chances on the Blueharts goal. Unfortunately, 3 further goals were conceded in the second period, despite very good play from M4's, giving a final score line of 7-0....M4's and Blueharts both now await the outcome of the Broxbourne v Hertford game to see whereabouts they both finish in the table....overall M4's have certainly improved on their hockey play week on week during the season and look to come back stronger for the restart of the league next season in September.....MOM Paul Hemmant ?
