M4's played their first away league game of the season in an early morning fixture at Broxbourne 4's...with Mike Hamid in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Ian Noble, Martyn Binge and Pete Hindle M4's got off to a good start Jon Parker in LM and Alex Lake in RM played well with the CM's of Anand Mann and Josh Lake combining well. Both James Ralph Smith and Simon Russell had chances for an opening goal for M4's season. New debutant to the club, Elliot Chapman, came into CM and created chances for players with good passing plays and good runs. In the 9th minute, Broxbourne hit the post, this did not dishearten M4's and they continued having chances including gaining a PC that unfortunately wasn't converted. Unfortunately in the 18th minute M4's conceded and went into halftime 1 - 0 down. M4's carried on playing well in the second period passing well and creating chances including winning a few PC's. M4's pressed well in a very even game, however, with 7 minutes left M4's conceded a second goal to give a final scoreline of 2 - 0 to Broxbourne 4's...overall a good game and 2 very respectable scorelines in the opening 2 games of the season with a bye week next Saturday M4's know they can meet St Albans 9 in two weeks time looking fresh for the league games until the Christmas break...MoM Elliot Chapman
