M4's faced Rickmansworth 3's at Nobel in an early afternoon fixture with Mike Hamid in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Ian Noble, Kal Singh and Jon Parker. M4's started brightly with Xavi George in LM the 2 CM's of Tony Farnan and Josh Lake and the RM of Alex Lake creating chances for the front 2 of Simon Russell and James Ralph Smith. M4's passed the ball well and created chances in an even first period, however M4's were unlucky to conceed a goal on the stroke of half time. M4's came out for the second period looking to play exactly as they had in the first period, passing well and pressed the play on Rickmansworth well, with 2 new debutants to the team in the form of Enzo and his Dad Mehron Kirk who were both playing and passing well. M4's were rewarded for their good play in the 38th minute after the ball was saved by the Rickmansworth keeper and Tony Farnan was there to put it into the back of the goal for M4's first goal of the season. Unfortunately, in the 49th minute, Rickmansworth 3's managed to find themselves ahead once more. However, M4's were not despondent and 2 minutes later after a sideline ball was taken the ball was swept into the D where Simon Russell was able to strike into the goal. M4's thought they had gained their first points of the season, however late goals in from Rickmansworth in the 61st and 63rd minute meant a final scoreline of 4 - 2...overall good play from everyone with good passing and possession play...M4's look forward to a trip to local rivals MBDA next Saturday...PoM Josh Lake and Tony Farnan
