M4's faced top of the table Old Haberdashers at Nobel knowing it was going to be their toughest test of the season so far. With Paul Hemmant in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Ian Noble, Kal Singh and Jon Parker M4's started well in containing Old Haberdashers attacks on the M4's in the opening half of the game and were able to create chances with the CM's of Tony Farnan and Elliot Chapman passing well between them and the LM and RM of Xavi George and Lee Pickersgill making good runs up the pitch towards the strike partnership of Simon Russell and Alex Lake. M4's held on until the 14th minute and unfortunately conceded 3 further goals in the space of 12 minutes. However, M4's grabbed a goal back after a good strike from Lee Pickersgill found the back of the Old Haberdashers goal. Unfortunately, 2 further goals from Old Haberdashers in the first period meant a half time score line of 6 -1. Mehron and Enzo Kirk played well with Enzo playing LM making some good runs down the wing and Mehron playing well as LB and striker. In the second period Simon Russell came back as a CB sweeper in a 5 man defence which limited Old Haberdashers to 2 further goals with M4's close to grabbing a second goal after the ball narrowly missed the stick of Lee Pickersgill who was by the Old Haberdashers goal post....a final score line of 8 - 1 against the league leaders and overall was a good performance from all players on the pitch....PoM Lee Pickersgill
