M4's started their reverse league fixtures with a visit to Letchworth 5's on a colder day after meeting Letchworth 5's on the opening day of the season back in mid September. With Mike Hamid in goal and a back 4 of Jon Parker, Kal Singh, Ian Noble and Anand Mann. M4's started well with the CM's of Tony Farnan passing well to the other CM of Chris Day. The LM and RM of Cameron Homfray-Cooper and Chris Niewdach made some good runs down the wings creating chances for the strikers of Harp Mann and Simon Russell. Unfortunately M4's conceded in the 12th minute. M4's heads didn't drop and in the 21st minute Anand Mann playing in RB found a pass to Chris Niewdach in RM who made a good run and managed to sweep the ball across the D to find the stick of Cameron Homfray-Cooper who shot the ball at the Letchworth 5's goal....M4's duly found themselves level. Unfortunately, Letchworth 5's gained advantage with a goal in the 26th minute to give themselves a half time scoreline of 2 - 1. M4's continued to play well in the second period with Alex Lake playing well in the CB position and Pete Homfray-Cooper playing well in LM. Unfortunately, Letchworth 5's managed to find themselves a third goal, however, in the 56th minute M4's found themselves a second goal after a goalmouth scramble which was converted by Harp Mann. This set up a nervy finish for Letchworth 5's with M4's threatening an equalising goal on numerous occasions. Despite this, Letchworth 5's found themselves a late goal in the 68th minute to give a final scoreline of 4 - 2....M4's now go into the Christmas break looking forward to the second half of the season full of confidence and improving week by week in their play...MoM Anand Mann
