M4's faced Broxbourne 4's in a mid afternoon fixture in the only game at Nobel after the pitch had just about thawed out unfortunately cancelling the previous scheduled games. With Mike Hamid in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Kal Singh, Ian Noble and Pete Hindle. M4's passed and played well with the CM's of Josh Lake and Lawrie Western making good runs and passes. The LM of Xavi George played well and RM of Lee Pickersgill made some good passes and challenges with some good passes made to the front 2 of Simon Russell and Alex Lake. Lawrie Western raised hopes of an M4's goal narrowly missing a shot on goal after M4's were awarded a PC. Unfortunately M4's conceded 2 goals in the first period. M4's weren't disheartened, though. Mehron Kirk played well in CM with Enzo Kirk playing well in the position of striker getting himself into good positions. Jon Parker played well in LB position with Kal Singh putting a good shot into the D that narrowly missed the stick of Simon Russell. Unfortunately, 2 further goals were conceded in the second period giving a full time scoreline of 4 - 0....overall a tough game after the Christmas break against a good Broxbourne 4's team but a good team effort from all. M4's now look to a rest weekend before they resume action in 2 weeks time in a second consecutive home game against St Albans 9's...PoM Lee Pickersgill
