M4's faced an early morning away game at Luton Town 3's with Mike Hamid in goal and a back 5 of Graham Spicer, Kal Singh, Ian Noble, Jon Parker and Simon Russell playing as sweeper. M4's started well with Tony Farnan playing well in CM passing to Josh Lake with both making good runs and passes. Alex Lake made good runs and passes in RM with Xavi George in LM combining well with Josh Lake in CM. Numerous chances were created for the lone striker of Harp Mann.
In the 14th minute M4's good play was rewarded as a ball was swept in from the right hand side of the D that Harp Mann latched onto to give M4's the lead. Unfortunately in the 22nd minute Luton 3's equalised after a PC was awarded. M4's weren't despondent though and carried out their good play which was rewarded in the 27th minute after a Geoff Trew solo run in towards the D where he found himself pretty much 1 on 1 with the Luton 3's goalkeeper. He duly took the ball to the right hand side of the D and found himself a gap to fire M4's into a 2 - 1 lead that they took into halftime.
In the second period M4's carried on the good play. Unfortunately in the 54th minute Luton 3's found themselves an equaliser. Both sides had further chances to score with Mike Hamid making some good saves to deny Luton 3's.
Simon Russell and Tony Farnan held the midfield well as all players marked tightly as they had done in the last game even when M4's lost a player after a green card was awarded in the 45th minute and a yellow card to a player in the 53rd minute.
The game ended with Ian Noble making a great defensive challenge turning in the process with the ball hitting him on the chin thankfully the injury notby being bad...overall another great performance to draw. M4's who now find themselves on 4 points for the season so far...PoM Harp Mann
