Not only was it two fantastic back to back wins for the men, but it was back to back hat tricks also and their 1st clean sheet of the season.
Stevenage got off to another quick start with Luke Wilkinson driving into the D and winning a short, to which Aiden Parker kindly tucked into the top corner, they continued to hunt for a second, but this let the defence a bit exposed as per, however a great save on a short corner from Dougie, kept the 0 on the scoresheet.
Another short corner for Stevenage saw Niall Trimble grab a goal to make it 2 – 0. This was quickly followed by another tight angle finish for Mike Oliver who is totting the goals up from Midfield.
3 – 0 at the half!
Jack Scott in his new found holding mid role martialled all players in front him, pushing them right up the pitch, this was helped by Andy Davies new found aerials, which was welcomed to alleviate some pressure! Some great runs by Dan Farnan in the second half seen Aiden Parker grab his second of the match. This was quickly followed by a Mike Oliver second. Not to be out done Aiden Parker bagged his 2nd hat trick goal in 2 games.
Stevenage weren’t finished at 6! And Paul Spicer made a great run a tucked it under the rushing keeper to make it 7! A Rare clean sheet means the solid defensive, including, Massimo, Andy G, Matt O now move it to positive goal difference and Dougie takes home MOM. Final score 7-0 which matches the amount of cards that were probably, likely, maybe deserved.
